The Financial Times published a two-part report on Private Military Companies yesterday and today, entitled “The jobs of war” and “Private companies on the frontline” respectively. Unfortunately, the print version and the original Internet edition of the first article incorrectly stated that Sandline has been “officially disbanded”. Having brought this error to the attention of the FT, the web-based version of the first article was immediately modified and a correction stating: “Sandline International, a private military company registered in the British Virgin Islands, has asked us to point out that it remains a going concern, contrary to a report in yesterday’s FT” appeared in today’s print edition.
